THE Nigerian Football Association (NFA) has banned three top clubs from playing matches at their home grounds as a result of unruly crowd behavior. Home crowds at the Ilorin stadium, where first division Kwara United and Kwara Stars play their home games, have been banned for a year. Kwara United will now play their home matches in Calabar, southeast Nigeria, while city rivals Kwara Stars have been banished to Ibadan in southwest. The Minna township stadium in northern Nigeria, home ground of second division Niger Tornadoes, has also been closed down for a year after fans assaulted female referee Bola Abidoye during Tornadoes match with Kano Pillars.
