MALCOLM Gray, who takes over as president of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday, attended the King Commission hearings into cricket match-fixing in Cape Town on Wednesday. Gray, from Australia, said: “I am here to meet Judge (Edwin) King and to observe the proceedings.” Gray takes over as ICC president from Jagmohan Dalmiya at the ICC congress meeting in London Monday. He arrived in Cape Town Tuesday and will depart on Wednesday evening. Sacked South African captain Hansie Cronje is due to be cross-examined Wednesday. The start of proceedings was delayed while Judge King studied a high court ruling earlier on Wednesday allowing live radio broadcasts.
