NIGERIA’S President Olusegun Obasanjo is in Oslo on Monday for talks expected to focus on technology to expand Nigeria’s off-shore deep water oil industry. Obasanjo is due to meet with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and other top government officials and leaders of the Norwegian oil industry. Norway is a world leader in deep water oil exploration. Nigeria is currently the world’s sixth-largest oil exporter, and Africa’s largest producer, exporting some 2.03 million barrels per day, but most of the production is onshore.
