FORMER Mozambiqan first lady Graa Machel will deliver the key address at the 10th Global Summit of Women, which starts in Johannesburg on October 5. South Africa was selected to be the first African hosts of the summit, which is informally known as the “Davos for Women,” because it has the most women in its cabinet of all countries on the continent, summit director Irene Natividad said this week. The summit is expected to draw 400 women business, professional and entrepreneurial leaders from across the world. Among the topics on the agenda for the three-day meeting are women ministers and their vision for women’s economic progress in their countries, a dialogue with businesswomen in international trade, and business opportunities in Africa.
