ANGLO American Platinum (Angloplat) and the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) have agreed to a 9% wage increase in a deal that ends a crippling four-week strike. Angloplat’s Mike Mtakati said the agreement is for a period of two years, and negotiations for a raise on the provident fund contribution had been referred to a Partnership Forum, made up of management and the trade unions, for arbitration. – Reuters
