THREE helicopters from Liberia bombarded a Guinean village near the border between the two West African countries, destroying it by fire and killing one person and wounding two, Guinean military sources said. The attack was the latest in a series of cross-border raids on the West African country near its frontiers with Liberia and neighbouring Sierra Leone. Interior and Security Minister Moussa Solano has said 360 people have been killed since early September. – Reuters
