THE diversified trading and services group Bidvest has launched an e-commerce project which it said would enable 750 companies and 350 000 customers and suppliers to trade electronically. By the end of June 2001, Bidvest said it would establish a business-to-business electronic marketplace called mymarket.com. The group, which has annual turnover of more than R26bn, said the exchange would be customer driven and would allow its business trading partners to customise their own e-markets. – Reuters
