Rumours fly that Goldie and Kurt are to call it quits

It looks as if another long-term Hollywood relationship has hit the rocks, as reports this morning hint that Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn have separated after 17 years together.

According to US reports, the couple, who never married, have decided to call it a day and Hawn’s current visit to the UK marks the beginning of a separation between the two. Russell has remained in Los Angeles, filming Vanilla Sky and Goldie, while in London, has reportedly been dating US newsman Charles Glass.

The couple’s problems apparently began last November following rumours that Russell had visited a notorious Californian massage parlour. The pair then started attending therapy, but it was unable to solve their problems.

The pair met during the filming of Swing Shift in 1984 and they have a 15-year-old son, Wyatt. Hawn’s Golden Globe-winning daughter Kate Hudson has often said that she regards Russell as her father.

It seems to be the time for Hollywood break-ups, Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman and Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin have also separated in the last year.
