STATE PUMPS UP PETROL PRICE AGAIN

SOUTH Africa’s Department of Minerals and Energy expects retail petrol prices to increase by 19 cents a litre from April 4 because of changes in fuel taxes road accident fund levy. Wholesale diesel prices would be increased four cents a litre and wholesale illuminating paraffin by eight cents a litre. Petrol retails in the main Gauteng market at 3.59 rand a litre. Fuel prices are a major component in domestic inflationary pressures. – Reuters.
