FOUR MINERS BURIED ALIVE IN NIGERIA

FOUR people were buried alive while scavenging for gold at a mining site in Nigeria’s northwestern Zamfara State, a government official said Monday. The miners were killed on Sunday at the town of Kwarganyo when the deep hole they dug caved in on them. The unidentified miners, who were at the site illegally, were scooping for gold when the cave collapsed, burying them alive. – AFP
