ZIM TRADE MINISTER THROWS IN THE TOWEL

ZIMBABWES Minister of Industry and International Trade, who has publicly opposed raids by militant war veterans on businesses, has resigned. Nkosana Moyo handed in his resignation in a letter to President Robert Mugabe on Friday and then left for South Africa, press reports said. Moyo refused to comment on the reasons for his resignation, but unnamed sources said Moyo felt he was unable to perform his duties in attracting international investment and promoting Zimbabwean industry when the ruling party’s policies scared investors away. – AFP
