A LEADING Mozambican banker was found dead outside his office in the capital Maputo in a suspected murder case, police said on Sunday. The body of Antonio Siba Siba, chairman of Mozambique’s largest commercial bank Banco Austral, was found late on Saturday after apparently after falling six floors. He either fell or was pushed, police suspect. The government recently took over the running of Banco Austral from a consortium led by Malaysia’s Southern Bank Behard, which had taken control of the bank under Mozambique’s privatisation programme and allegedly ran it down. – AFP
