The Institute for the Study of Mankind in Africa is holding a symposium entitled Evolution of Humankind on Saturday August 18.
Speakers include Dr Samuel Asala, head of morphological anatomy at Wits; Professor Trefor Jenkins of the department of human genetics at Wits; Kevin Kuykendall, a senior lecturer in anatomy at Wits; Dr Ron Clarke, director of research at the JW Goethe University in Germany and deputy director of the Sterkfontein research unit at Wits; Dr Meave Leakey of the National Museum of Kenya; and Dr Fred Spoor of University College in London.
