THE trial of a man alleged to have placed a video camera in the ceiling of a bathroom to take footage of women in the nude was postponed again in the Strand Magistrate’s Court on Friday. Fanie Terblanche is said to have set up the camera in a house he shared with a woman in Gordon’s Bay in the Western Cape. The State maintains he took video footage of two women, and charges him on three counts of criminal injuria. Prosecutor Natashe Simons, the third prosecutor to act in the case so far, was about to put the three charges to Terblanche when defence attorney Milton de la Harpe informed the court that the State had not provided him with crucial information about the videos, despite two letters requesting the particulars. The case was postponed to October 5 for trial. – Sapa
