DONALD Woods will be laid to rest in the soil of the land of his birth. His eldest son, Dillon, said from London on Monday that a memorial service for his father would be held at St Martins-in-the-Fields Church opposite Trafalgar Square, London, next Tuesday, followed by a reception at the South African High Commission next door. Donald would be cremated at a private family funeral the following day, he said. ”But we will have a church service in East London hopefully in two or three weeks time, when the whole family can travel to South Africa, and my father will be buried in East London alongside the grave of our baby brother, Lindsay, at the cemetery in Cambridge,” Dillon said. – Sapa
