WONDER MASOMBUKA LASHES OUT AT PAC CHIEFS

EXPELLED Pan Africanist Congress deputy general secretary Wonder Masombuka on Saturday hit out at the leaders of the party, saying his expulsion was imposed by president Stanley Mogoba. He claimed Mogoba had instructed the disciplinary committee which he faced to fire him because ”the young and dynamic leadership” of the PAC, including himself, objected to Mogoba occupying a Cabinet post he so much desired. ”The PAC, by and large, internationally and nationally, is represented by three people Patricia de Lille, Thami ka Plaatjie and Wonder Masombuka,” he said. Masombuka was facing three charges of fraud, including defrauding party members of at least R350_000 and bringing the PAC into disrepute. The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the PAC decided to fire Masombuka after it had found him guilty of defrauding the party. – Sapa
