E-CAPE MAN SHOOTS FAMILY, TURN HIMSELF IN

A MAN handed himself over to police after his wife and son were shot dead in Alexandria, south of Grahamstown, in the early hours of Saturday morning. The man arrived at the Alexandria community police stationaround 2.15am on Saturday. He asked police for a drink of water and then handed the police a firearm — a .38 special revolver. He told police he had used the weapon to shoot his wife and son. Police went to the address furnished by the man and found the bodies of a young man (17) and a woman (40) inside the house. The man they were holding in custody would appear in court next week, police said.- Sapa
