7 WOMEN ARRESTED FOR MAN’S DEATH IN DURBAN

SEVEN women were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the death of a Moroccan citizen who died last week after attending the NGO forum in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal police said. Director Bala Naidoo said the women were arrested in Pretoria by members of the serious and violent crime unit. Souhir Mosfasa (33) was found dead on Friday in a room at the Killarney Hotel. He was part of the Italian delegation attending the NGO forum which took place before the World Conference Against Racism. The women will be taken to Durban on Tuesday morning where they will be questioned. The cause of Mosfasa’s death is still not known. A post mortem was conducted on Saturday but no conclusive cause of death was established. ”At the time the pathologist indicated that there was no blunt force trauma to the neck, meaning there was no evidence of strangulation. Further histological and toxicological tests will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” Naidoo said. – Sapa
