MADISHA RECEIVES DEATH THREATS

CONGRESS of SA Trade Unions president Willy Madisha has been receiving death threats, Cosatu representative Patrick Craven said on Wednesday. Madisha is currently in hospital for tests following his collapse at a function on Tuesday night. ”The Cosatu leadership is extremely concerned about the recurrence of yesterday’s (Tuesday’s) incident. It is not the first time that the president has collapsed due to fatigue and stress. He said Cosatu did not want to speculate on the origins of the threats. Madisha is also president of the SA Democratic Teacher’s Union which is one of four unions which refused to sign this year’s public service wage agreement. – Sapa
