TANZANIAN police are holding a South African national who was arrested at the airport here in possession of three kilograms of cocaine, police said on Wednesday. Police named the suspect as Sali Ameen Abdulhack (51) and said he was holding a South African passport. ”The suspect was found with several packets of the drugs in his hand luggage, and after interrogation he admitted that he obtained the drugs in Curacao island in the Caribbean,” police said in a statement. They said Abdulhack had travelled from Johannesburg to Santiago, Lima, Caracas and finally Curacao. He later went to Amsterdam and flew to Dar es Salaam, where he was in transit en route to Harare before going back to South Africa. Police said the suspect would appear in court soon. – AFP
