FRENCH GIVE SA JUSTICE R6-MILLION

THE French ambassador to South Africa, Jean Cadet, will sign a financial agreement in Pretoria on Monday with Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Penuell Maduna aimed at improving the country’s justice system. Cadet’s office on Friday said Maduna would receive a R6 million financial grant towards a project managed by the Justice College. The specific components of the project include supporting the training of prosecutors and magistrates through the revision of training courses, and setting up legal aid for the poor. – Sapa
