Swallows on a roll

Moroka Swallows kept up their winning momentum on Sunday when they defeated Supersport United 3-0 in a Castle Premier Soccer League match.

The home side led 2-0 at the break.

Swallows scored a 2-0 win over Santos last week and this victory over Supersport moves them into third place on the log. It also provides a useful boost for the side that on Sunday takes on Jomo Cosmos in the final of the SAA Supa 8 competition in Durban.

Ironically, the opening goal came from one of their former teammates — Molefi Ntsoelengoe — who transferred to United. He moved Swallows into the lead when he put the ball in the back of his own net.

Peter Rabolele doubled the score in the 40th minute leaving the home side in a pretty secure position at the break.

Supersport tried hard to get back into the match but to no avail and just to add insult to injury, Edzai Kasinauyo scored the third goal fro Swallows with just five minutes remaining in the match. — Sapa
