Swallows earn maximum points

Moroka Swallows earned maximum points away from home when they beat Manning Rangers by 2-1 in a dull Castle Premiership game at Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday night.

The score was 1-0 at the interval to Rangers thanks to a 12th-minute goal by Alton Meiring who converted Gico Minga’s excellent cross ball.

Swallows tried to push forward in search for an equaliser but their efforts were denied by Rangers goalie Chad Harpur, who thwarted numerous attempts.

In the second half Rangers started to play the off-side trap, which back-fired when Swallows Albert Kometsi managed to score the equaliser in the 56th minute.

Lucas ”Makhokhoba” Sebona scored the Beautiful Birds’s winning goal in the 80th minute. — Sapa
