South Africa’s Mbulelo Mabizela scored an own goal in the 85th minute on Sunday as Senegal beat its visitors 2-1 in an African Cup of Nations warm-up match.
Malick Diop also scored for Senegal while Siyabonga Nomvete gave Bafana Bafana an early lead.
The African Cup starts Saturday in Tunisia.
Nomvete opened the scoring by lofting a shot over the head of the Senegal goalkeeper. The Dakar Lions equalised in the 30th when Diop headed the ball into the right hand corner of the South African net.
Mabizela inadvertently scored Senegal’s game-winner when his clearance beat his own keeper.
At the African Cup, World Cup quarterfinalist Senegal will play Burkina Faso, Kenya and Mali in Group B. South Africa is in Group D with Nigeria, Morocco and Benin. – Sapa-AP
