Free State Stars are confident that former Bafana Bafana coach Trott Moloto will steer them to the Castle Premiership next season.
Stars, who are perched at the top of the First Division Inland Stream with 50 points from 22 matches, entertain All Nations in QwaQwa on Saturday.
”Trott is an experienced coach and we have no doubt that Stars will remain at the top of the table under his guidance,” said club CEO Bereng Kholoane.
Regarding their chances against All Nations whom they host at Charles Mopedi Stadium, Kholoane said the Gauteng side will return home empty-handed.
”We have been training hard and are determined to send them back home empty-handed. We are not even going to drop a single point.”
Moloto joined Stars at the beginning of the season from Bush Bucks. This was after Bucks were relegated to the First Division after faring badly in the Castle Premiership last season.
The biggest game of the weekend will be a top-of-the-table Free State derby featuring second-placed Bloemfontein Celtic and Bloemfontein Young Tigers at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Sunday.
Celtic have accumulated 49 points, while Tigers are lying third on the log with 47 points.
Meanwhile, Bush Bucks are tipped the return to the Premiership next season and are topping the log in the coastal stream.
The Eastern Cape side, coached by the legendary Mlungisi Ngubane, are set to easily beat Maritzburg City at Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday. — Sapa
