Wheelchair tennis player tests positive for cocaine

Wheelchair tennis player Miles Thompson of the United States was suspended for three months by the International Tennis Federation on Tuesday after testing positive for cocaine.

Thompson failed the doping test after the US Wheelchair Tennis Open in San Diego last October. He did not contest the case.

Besides the three-month ban for a first offence, Thompson will also forfeit $100 in prize money and ranking points earned at the event. – Sapa-AP
