The Pan Africanist Congress of Azania has appointed a committee to find inactive members of the party and to examine perceived disunity, president Motsoko Pheko said on Monday.
In a statement on Monday, Pheko said inactive members will be invited to become active and to assist with tasks suited to their skills and influence.
”All members of the party are invited to submit names of people to the committee.”
The four-person committee, which will include national organiser Ntsie Mohloai, will further ”provide space for debate and entry points for engagement in the party”.
Its mandate is to produce an interim report by the end of November and to deliver a final report by the end of March next year.
The statement said under-utilised talent in the PAC amounts to ”wasted opportunity for the triumph of pan-Africanism”.
”All progressive forces are needed in order to achieve the ultimate objectives of the liberation struggle: the economic liberation and social emancipation of the African people,” said Pheko. — Sapa
