Lamontville Golden Arrows collected maximum points when they beat struggling Jomo Cosmos 1-0 in a dull Castle Premiership encounter played at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
There was no score at the interval.
Papi Zothwane netted the only goal of this game in the 69th minute when he converted a penalty — this after Ryan Hodeskins pulled Harry Milanzi by his jersey inside the visitors’ box. Referee Morris Daniels did not hesitate in pointing to the spot.
Milanzi was introduced in the 35th minute for Tekano ”Shoes” Ledimo, who did not play well.
In search of an equaliser, Cosmos replaced Lucky Mhlathi with Tshinyagh Bethu in the 70th minute but this didn’t bear fruit.
Arrows took off Justice Sithole for Ace Gulwa in the 84th minute. — Sapa
