Mamelodi Sundowns played to a goalless draw against Wits University in a Castle Premiership game played at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday night.
The game was delayed for 15 minutes owing to a capacity crowd outside the stadium trying to gain access.
Both teams failed to maintain the form they displayed during their previous outings as the match started at a very slow pace.
Wits should have won the game when Russel Khuzwayo’s clear shot hit the crossbar in the 62nd minute.
Both teams made several substitutions but it did not change their luck. Despite the result, Sundowns remain top of the premiership table.
Referee Charn Theron cautioned Isaac Mabotsa and Elasto Kapowezha in the 19th and 30th minutes respectively for rough play. — Sapa
