Santos have pledged to hoist the South African flag high in their Confederation Cup by beating Hearts of Oak at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Sunday.
The Cape Town side are hoping to avenge the 2-1 defeat handed to them by the Ghanaians during the first-leg match in Kumasi two months ago.
The West African side need a win to qualify for the semifinals of this tournament.
”It will obviously be a tough match, but we are ready for them. Our main aim is to collect the three points at stake,” said Santso caretaker coach David Notoane.
Notoane was appointed caretaker coach after the dismissal of Boebie Solomons. Solomons is tipped to take over the coaching reins at Bush Bucks.
Hearts coach Ceceil Jones Atoquayefio said they are in South Africa to collect full points in order to enhance their chances of qualifying for the semifinals.
The South African side, who are languishing at the bottom of the group A log, failed to qualify for the semifinals after losing to Cotonsport of Cameroon in Cape Town three weeks ago. — Sapa
