Bush Bucks registered their second victory on Saturday when they beat Moroka Swallows 1-0 in a nailbiting Castle Premiership match at the Absa Stadium.
The first half was a ding-dong battle, with both teams threatening to score at any minute. Swallows strike Lungisani Ndlela came close to scoring in the seventh minute after beating the Bucks offside trap but shot wide.
Swallows continued to raid the Bucks goalmouth with Cecil Oerson leading the attack. Bucks leading goalscorer Mhlonitsawa Mbambo failed to finish in the box after a goalmouth scramble.
At the beginning of the second half, the Swallows coach, Gavin Taylor, substituted Alois Ngwerume for Ndlela.
Bucks Mduduzi Mdladla scored the goal which separated the two teams in the 59th minute. He beat the Swallows goalkeeper Greg Etafia after connecting a cross from Agent Fawu.
Mdladla was unlucky not to double the score in the 73rd minute when he hit the upright with Etafia well beaten. – Sapa
