Bush Bucks enjoyed their second win under new coach Bruce Grobbelaar when they edged ahead 1-0 against Bloemfontein Celtic in Bloemfontein on Sunday.
Bucks’ Jonathon Armogam drove a low, powerful shot home in the 29th minute after collecting a superb pass from Edmore Mashiri. Celtics ‘keeper Simon Gopane came forward to narrow the angle, but Armogam’s shot was too skilful.
It was Gopane’s only mistake as he rallied behind a desperate defence to pull off several superb saves as Bush Bucks put on the pressure.
In the later stages, Celtics made a few forays into Bucks’ goal area, but their strikers were timid and they failed to break their run of three consecutive defeats after recently going down to Sundowns and Silver Stars. — Sapa
