Mamelodi Sundowns gave Ajax Cape Town a hiding to remember when they beat them 4-0 at the Odi Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday night.
The home team controlled the game from the start and failed to capitalise on many of their goal-scoring opportunities.
They took the lead in the 37th minute when Teboho Mokoena beat the offside trap to fire home the first goal of the match.
In the 46th minute, the score line increased to 2-0 when Peter Ndlovu scored from a Siaka Tiene cross.
Tiene then scored the third goal in the 53rd minute after winning the ball from a scramble outside the goalmouth.
The visitors’ woes were compounded when Dikilu Bageta scored an own goal trying to turn away a cross from Josta Dladla. Their fate was sealed in the 65th minute, bringing the final score of 4-0. — Sapa
