Bush Bucks chairperson Sturu Pasiya is adamant that the Eastern Cape team will not be relegated at the end of the season despite languishing at the bottom of the log.
”We are definitely going nowhere. Bush Bucks will still be campaigning in the Castle Premiership next season.” said Pasiya from East London on Monday night.
”It is a known fact that the club has not been doing well after coming back from the festive-season holidays. We are working on the strategies to rise from the ashes.
”Obviously, we are all concerned about the poor display of the club, but we would like to assure our supporters that the matter is receiving urgent attention.
”We have already started a process of beefing up the club with quality players. The club will be unveiling new players before the end of this week.
”I can’t divulge their names because we are still finalising the contract issues with the players. We’ll only name them once everybody has signed on the dotted line,” added Pasiya.
Pasiya also confirmed that the club’s coach, Bruce Grobbelaar, a former Liverpool goalkeeper and Zimbabwe manager, enjoys full support from the management.
”Bruce has the support of all of us in the management … He has been doing a great job.”
