Telkom’s Nkenke Kekana resigns

Telkom announced on Thursday that its group executive for regulatory affairs and public policy, Nkenke Kekana, will leave the listed telecommunications group at the end of June to pursue other career opportunities.

The 42-year-old Kekana, who served as an MP for 11 years before joining Telkom, was the chairperson of the parliamentary portfolio committee on communications.

Outgoing CEO Sizwe Nxasana hailed Kekana adding that, during his two- year stint with the phone company, he played a key role in the changing regulatory environment and the liberalisation of the sector. – I-Net Bridge
