South Africa’s Cell C said on Tuesday that it has extended its international roaming partnerships to 287 telecommunications operators worldwide, enabling its customers to stay connected in 138 countries.
With global roaming, Cell C subscribers will be able to communicate on their cellphones while visiting certain destinations — including Australia, Brazil, India, Lesotho, Nigeria, Spain, the UK and the United States — where the firm has roaming agreements in place.
The operator has also established bilateral commercial roaming pacts with top global operators covering all popular business and holiday destinations including the Caribbean islands.
Cell C chief commercial officer Jim Courtney said: “Our extensive international roaming footprint further strengthens our market position as a competitive cellular service provider delivering value to all our customers including those who travel abroad.” – I-Net Bridge
