Two South Africans injured in London

Two South Africans were among the 700 people injured in Thursday’s bomb blasts in London, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Friday.

One was in a critical condition, the other seriously injured, spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa said.

The identities of the man and woman cannot be released until their families have been informed.

”The Minister of Foreign Affairs Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has directed our consular officers in London to visit them and provide support,” Mamoepa said.

The department’s Pretoria offices were currently contacting their families.

”The minister, on behalf of the government, wishes the two South Africans a speedy recovery,” said Mamoepa. – Sapa
