SA man loses eye after gang attack in London

A South African man has lost an eye after being attacked by a gang of ten youths in London, The Citizen newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Grant Nock (26) who has been living in London for over a year, underwent eye surgery in the British capital on Monday where his right eye was removed.

Nock and three friends were walking home after a party in Southfields, London, last Sunday, when they were attacked by a gang shouting anti-South African abuse.

Nock was wearing a Springbok rugby jersey as South Africa had just beaten Australia in a Test match at the Loftus stadium in Pretoria.

Scotland Yard is investigating the incident, the newspaper reported. – Sapa
