Three elderly people will appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday on charges relating to the distribution of child pornography, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Superintendent Phindile Radebe said the three — a couple and their relative — together with another man were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday after an extensive six month investigation.
All four are between the ages of 50 and 60-years. One man who was arrested at his house in the Malvern area on Wednesday appeared in court in Pinetown on Thursday. He was released on bail of R2 000.
The other three were arrested at a house in Pinetown from where police seized several computers and video material.
Radebe said police had information of other people involved in child pornography and expected more arrests to be made on Friday. – Sapa
