A 71-year-old woman in Croatia attacked and seriously injured another elderly woman over an alleged affair with a 78-year-old man, the daily Vecernji List said on Friday.
The jealous granny in the northern town of Cakovec reportedly used a wooden stick to attack her 75-year-old neighbour, whom she accused of having a three-year-long affair with her husband.
The victim, identified only as Ana, was knocked to the floor in the assault.
”And it would have been much worse if it hadn’t been for neighbours who stopped her,” Ana told Vecernji.
Police were called to the scene but made no arrests. — Sapa-DPA
