The remains of three Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) cadres executed in the apartheid era have been located at Mamelodi cemetery in Pretoria and exhumed, the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) reported on Saturday.
Sipho Xulu, Andrew Zondo and Lucky Payi were hanged in 1986 for murdering Ben Langa, the brother of now Chief Justice Pius Langa.
The three had acted on disinformation from the previous government that Langa was an apartheid spy.
It emerged at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings that Langa was, in fact, a bona fide African National Congress activist.
The three will be reburied next week by their families, the SABC said. — Sapa
