Four Johnnic Holdings Limited directors resigned from the company’s board on Tuesday following a change in its controlling shareholder.
”… We feel it is only proper to resign to enable the new controlling shareholder to appoint a new chairman and their own directors,” said Johnnic’s outgoing chairperson Cyril Ramaphosa.
Hosken Consolidated Investments Limited became Johnnic’s controlling shareholder last month.
The resignations were of Ramaphosa, Colin Brayshaw, Tommy Oliphant and Patrick Burton.
Johnnic Holdings chief executive Christine Ramon resigned on December 14 last year.
It is unclear whether Johnnic director Connie Molusi also resigned on Tuesday.
Molusi is the chief executive of Johnnic Communications, the media and entertainment division of Johnnic Holdings.
It was a real pleasure to have been associated with Johnnic, said Ramaphosa.
”We would like to take this opportunity to wish Johnnic, its board, management and staff the very best for the future,” he said in a statement.
