A 28-year-old man was arrested after a chopped-up body was found dumped in a pit toilet in Tubatse near the border of Mpumalanga, Limpopo police said on Monday.
”Pilot Masabeng (25) was consuming liquor with other friends at a shop on Saturday afternoon [when] the suspect escorted Masabeng to his home, allegedly because [Masabeng] was under the influence of liquor,” Superintendent Ronel Otto said.
Masabeng’s neighbour called police on Sunday morning after she found blood stains in the toilet area.
A head, legs, hands and private parts were found severed from the rest of the body and in the toilet.
Otto said a motive for the killing was not known and a case of murder was being investigated.
The arrested man will appear in the Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court in Tubatse on Tuesday. — Sapa
