AJ Venter one of five changes to Bok team

Springbok coach Jake White named a formidable team with five changes for his team’s Tri-Nations clash against the All Blacks on Saturday.

Sharks loose forward AJ Venter makes a return to international rugby at number eight after having last played for the Springboks in 2004 at Twickenham.

Venter will be partnered by Pierre Spies and Pedrie Wannenburg in the loose forwards while the only other change in the pack is in the front row where BJ Botha comes in for injured CJ Van der Linde.

The backline sees more changes with Andre Pretorius coming in at flyhalf in place of Butch James while Wynand Olivier comes in at centre with Jaque Fourie moving to fullback.

Akona Ndungane and Bryan Habana keep their places in the side on the wing.

More significantly, on the bench, the name of Breyton Paulse is the most prominent while Chiliboy Ralepelle, Lawrence Sephaka, Albert Van den Berg, Jacques Cronje, Ruan Pienaar and Butch James complete the bench.
