White picks Pietersen for starting line-up

Sharks and South Africa under-21 fullback JP Pietersen was on Wednesday announced in the Springbok starting XV to face Australia in their Tri-Nations encounter at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Pietersen replaces Jaque Fourie at fullback, with Fourie moving back to centre to reunite his partnership with Jean de Villiers.

Bok coach Jake White has replaced the injured Bryan Habana with Wynand Olivier on the wing, while Akona Ndungane keeps his place on the right wing.

The forward pack shows no changes to the one that dominated the All Blacks in last weekend’s 21-20 victory.

White has also opted not to make any changes on the bench in the hope of giving players like Chiliboy Ralepelle and Albert van den Berg more game time. — Sapa
