South Africa’s ailing Minister of Health Manto Tshabalala-Msimang could be discharged from the Johannesburg Hospital soon, a spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The Department of Health’s Bhungani Mzolo said they were told the minister’s stay in the Folateng Private Wing at the hospital could end soon.
”The minister has a lung infection, that is what we were told by doctors. She was admitted and is being treated,” he said.
Tshabalala-Msimang was admitted on October 5, spending her 66th birthday in the private ward.
She has been in the hospital for over 10 days. — Sapa
