Two arrested in Boeremag sweep

Two people have been arrested in a Limpopo raid reportedly linked to the Pretoria High Court escapes of two Boeremag members last year.

However, the arrests were not of the fugitives, Herman van Rooyen (33) and Rudi Gouws (28), who were on trial for alleged treason.

The couple appeared before a magistrate in the Limpopo town of Modimolle on Monday.

Police spokesperson Director Sally de Beer said there were indications that Jacobus Bogaards (47) and Elizabeth Bogaards (49) had helped Van Rooyen and Gouws.
