Randgold director resigns

A director of Randgold and Exploration Company Limited, Andrew Christoffel Nissen has resigned, the company said on Sunday.

This follows an announcement made on March 15 that the company might merge with the Johannesburg Consolidated Investment (JCI) Company Limited, the company said in a statement.

”In view of the announcement relating to the settlement or merger negotiations with JCI Limited, Mr Nissen has decided that it is timely to devote his attention to a number of projects he is currently involved with, as well as personal business opportunities.”

The announcement of Nissen’s resignation was made in compliance with section 3,59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited.

”The board wishes to express its appreciation for the commitment and contribution that Mr Nissen has made to the company.” – Sapa
