As far as aura photographs go, mine was quite extreme — so extreme, in fact, that my face was pretty much entirely obscured.
According to Linda Long, owner of House of Isis, a Rosebank-based New Age healing store, where the photograph was taken, the composition of the photo is indicative of someone ‘dealing with a lot of stuffâ€, who has been heavily burdened and is about to experience dramatic change.
The picture is deciphered by looking at three sides — its centre, the left and right sides — and interpreting the information based on the symbolism of the colours.
The right side of the picture (left of body) represents the vibration entering the body in the future. The closer its location to the body, the sooner the vibration will be felt.
The centre represents the experience, namely what the self is going through at present. If the colour is high, it denotes aspirations or wishes.
The left side represents expression, the type of vibration most likely felt by those around me, as opposed to the energy of which I am actually made.
Starting with the centre of the picture, Long commented on the severity of the red hovering in front of the face.
She likened the centre, with its deep, mushroom-shaped reds, to a volcanic eruption, showing that a lot of anger and frustration was manifesting.
Elaborating on the dual qualities of red, she said that its positive side, however, was activity and extroversion, indicating a busy period bringing me into contact with many people. The yellow balls on the top-left half of the picture pointed to a lot of thinking or stress, particularly professionally.
The right side of the picture, in line with my left shoulder, indicated change, she said. Green is a colour of growth, reminiscent of spring, hence the allusion to renewal.
The bright, spherical shape contained within the green indicated the presence of a spirit helping me through the change. Long commented on its closeness to my body, indicating that whatever the change was, it was quite imminent.
The opposite side of the picture, with a murky, yellow tint, denoted worry. Yellow represents intellect and organisation.
Its murkiness, however, pointed to a burden — troubled thoughts — weighing down my shoulder. But if one considered the direction that vibrations entered the body, this one was on its way out.
I was inclined to agree with much of what Long said. I recently lost a family member, whose funeral had been an acrimonious affair, to say the least. This, I figure, has contributed to my stress levels.
I have been feeling extremely unsettled in my personal life also, with a change of residence looming.
Long suggested that I take another photograph in the near future to monitor the changes in my aura.
