Three men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of businessman Glenn Agliotti’s home last month, Johannesburg police said on Monday.
Superintendent Eugene Opperman said the three were believed to be part of an armed gang of five that robbed Agliotti’s home in Bryanston on Monday March 5.
Two men in their late 20s were arrested last Thursday and a third man on Friday. All three were arrested in Alexandra.
”Police are now hunting the remainder of the gang. They are confident that the others will also be behind bars soon,” said Opperman.
The three men appeared in the Sandton Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Their case was remanded to May 8 for further investigations, and they will remain in custody.
Investigators were not willing to divulge any further information regarding the case or their investigations as it might jeopardise ongoing investigations, said Opperman.
